Der Weg macht in der Mitte eine Kurve, was ihm eine ruhige, Kyoto-\u00e4hnliche Atmosph\u00e4re verleiht. Auf beiden Seiten reihen sich Kimono-Gesch\u00e4fte, Gemischtwarenl\u00e4den und Caf\u00e9s in umgebauten Machiya-H\u00e4usern aneinander und sind f\u00fcr Souvenir-Eink\u00e4ufe und eine kurze Reisepause zu empfehlen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es hei\u00dft, dass dieser Ort in der Geschichte sehr wichtig war und dass hier einst die Residenz von Dainagon Fujiwara no Kouto stand, die mehrere Kaiserinnen hervorbrachte. Sie hat ein massives Tor an ihrem Eingang und verbindet die Horikawa-dori mit der Omiya-dori. Derzeit (Stand: 2022 Jan.) ist das Tor wegen Renovierungsarbeiten gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils mit Ger\u00fcsten und Vorh\u00e4ngen verdeckt, aber es wurde eine hohe Mauer errichtet, so dass man sich in die Zeit der Edo-Periode in Kyoto zur\u00fcckversetzt f\u00fchlt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Auf der rechten Seite der Gasse befinden sich das pr\u00e4chtige, in Gold, Blau und Gr\u00fcn gehaltene \"Karamon\"-Tor und der Kindergarten, der wie ein Lagerhaus aussieht. Auf der linken Seite steht das Geb\u00e4ude des Omiya-Campus der Ryukoku-Universit\u00e4t, ein national bedeutendes Kulturgut und Schauplatz f\u00fcr die Dreharbeiten zu einem epischen Drama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wenn man durch die Gasse auf die Omiya-dori geht, sind das Kyoto-Aquarium, der Umekoji-Park und das Kyotoer Eisenbahnmuseum in 10 Minuten zu Fu\u00df zu erreichen.
