A temple, a cat café, a cat goods store, a theme park...it is not too much to say that Neko Neko Temple is the world's first "full-scale temple-type theme park," although we are not sure which is correct.
Its official name is Nekonekoji, the head temple of the Manekineko sect.
The main deity of the temple is a cat, and cats can be seen everywhere in the room, from the sliding door paintings depicting cats to cat sundries.
So what exactly is the Neko Neko Temple?
In this issue, we would like to introduce "Neko Neko Temple," a much talked-about sacred place for cat lovers.

■What is the attraction of Neko Neko Temple?
Here I would like to summarize the attractions of Neko Neko Temple one by one.
The fusuma paintings and art of ◯cat are amazing!

Upon entering the restaurant, you will see a sliding door painting depicting 22 cats in the room.
This one was painted by the owner's son.
A black cat sitting under a cherry tree, a Hachiware cat, a big cat painted on a sliding door... cat lovers will be able to look at them for a long time.
Near the fusuma paintings are cat-dharma dolls and cat screens, showing the attention to detail in the objets d'art.
There are also ceiling paintings by as many as 44 artists, and there is plenty to see, up, down, left, and right.
The gallery space is also nice!

The Neko Neko Temple also has a gallery space.
The motifs are all cats, of course, and cat art is everywhere.
The cat Senju Kannon is particularly impressive. All of the paw prints are quite adorable.
Fat cat goods are abundant!

Entering through the sliding doors of the Neko Neko Temple, the first thing you will see is knick-knacks for sale.
A variety of cute cat designs, including realistic-looking stuffed felts, dolls, and masks, are available.
Other cat red seals and good luck charms are also available, as the temple is called Neko Nekoji.
Fat, you'll have good luck!

The entrance to Nekoneko-ji Temple is marked "Shoki-Neko Sect, Nekoneko-ji Temple," and a cat ema (votive picture tablet) for good luck is also a highlight of the temple.
Inside, there is a Buddhist altar where a cat Buddha is enshrined, and a Shinto altar displaying three types of cat utensils (sanshu-no-nyangi), giving it a temple-like atmosphere.
The main deity is Dainichi Nyorai, who believes that there is no idea of how things should be done in this space, and that the motto is to live freely like a cat.
Just going there will make you feel better and bring you good fortune.
◯Real cats are adorable too!

On weekends, real cats sometimes dress up as priests and perform the service.
They do not chant sutras, but you can see them spending time in a relaxed manner, just like cats.
You may even get to meet the owner's cat.
