It runs from Yamato-oji Dori in the west to Hokanji Monzen in the east, a total length of 600 meters.
This street leads to Yasaka-no-to, the symbol of Higashiyama.
The area is full of Kyoto-like atmosphere with its rows of kyomachiya houses and cobblestone pavement.
Since there are many general stores and souvenir shops along Yasaka Dori, a leisurely stroll with Yasaka Dori as your destination is also recommended.

Pontocho is a small street about 500 meters north to south along the Kamo River.
