Aoba Sanroku Park

Aobayama Roku Park is a vast site that can accommodate more than 200 people camping in the A and B buildings combined. In addition to the campground, there are also lodging facilities and log cabins, so you will be able to fully enjoy yourself all day long. Camping and barbecues are also available on a day trip basis, making it an easy place to visit. The park has a lot of playground equipment such as athletic fields, lawns, mazes, plazas, and suspension bridges where children can move around a lot, so you may not be able to play in a day.

Review
This campground is a great place to enjoy camping in Kyoto while getting in touch with nature.
The grass and athletic facilities are great fun for small children and adults. The day-trip barbecue is also good.
The campground also has basketball and skateboarding facilities, so even adults can have fun.

Location: Oaza-Okayasu, Maizuru City, Kyoto, Japan

Access: Kyoto Kotsu Bus from JR Higashi-Maizuru Station, alight at Kosen-mae bus stop.

2. In addition to camping, you can also enjoy marine sports such as fishing and kayaking if you bring your own equipment. Camping, barbecues, hiking, and other activities will keep you busy all day long. Kabutoyama Park also has slides and athletic facilities, making it a great place to take small children.

○ Review.
The lawn and athletic facilities are excellent. Located on the border of Kyoto, Shiga, and Fukui prefectures, families can enjoy barbecues, playing in the river, star gazing, and other activities in the great outdoors. Fishing and catching fish in the river will surely be a memorable experience for children. The campground is available not only for overnight stays but also for day trips, and cottages are also available for those who do not like to use tents.

○Word of mouth
The fish catching is fun for both children and adults.
The starry sky is beautiful, and it is great to bring a telescope and stay overnight.
There are many kinds of cottages and you will want to come back again and again.

Location: 151 Kuta Kawai-cho, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto

Access: 40 minutes by car from the Mano IC on the Kosai Road.

4. Mountain Village Urban Exchange Forest

The Mountain Village Urban Exchange Forest is popular among families, couples, friends...and many other people. Because of its location in the northern part of Kyoto, visitors can enjoy the vast forest covering 1,000 hectares and play in gently flowing rivers such as the Katsura and Azumi Rivers. You can choose from four barbecue locations, including terrace, deck, and garden. All facilities are covered, so you can enjoy them without worrying about the weather.

Word of mouth
I enjoyed the woodworking experience.
The view of fireflies and the starlit sky is great depending on the season.
