Sanju Kitchen

A 10-minute walk south of JR Nishioji Station. Sanju Kitchen, marked by the Nepalese flag standing in front of the restaurant, is a restaurant where you can enjoy Indian cuisine such as curry and naan.

There is a wide variety of curry on the menu, including vegetable curry, seafood curry, chicken curry, and more. The naan is larger than your face and so hearty that if you eat it for lunch, you won't have to eat anything until dinner!

The restaurant has a lot of space, and you can relax on the comfortable sofa seats.

Japanese curry with an additional topping (e.g. shredded beef, hayashi-rice sauce, etc.)

Kichizo Curry" is a curry restaurant located about a 3-minute walk south of the Hachijo Exit of JR Kyoto Station. It is located on the first floor of Kyoto Avanti, a commercial facility, and is marked by a menu sign that stands along the street.

The menu consists of standard curry and rice, which can be topped with pork cutlet or hot spring egg. The most notable dish is the restaurant's original Yoshizo Curry. After the initial sweet taste, the tangy flavor of the spices follows, which is addictive.

Take-out is also available, so you can sit on a bench in front of the restaurant and enjoy a picnic. The restaurant has only compact counter seating, and the atmosphere is recommended for those who want to finish lunch quickly and go on to the next sightseeing spot.

Minehachi, located 7 minutes west of Kintetsu Kamitoba-guchi Station by car, specializes in curry udon. The soup is made by slowly simmering beef suji (beef tendon) and then splitting it with elegant Kyoto-style dashi (Japanese soup stock).

The specialty menu items are Curry Udon with Yuba Tofu and Curry Udon with Stewed Beef Sueji, both of which are very hearty. Additional toppings such as green onions and deep-fried tofu, or a bowl of rice can also be added to the set, making it a full meal!

The interior of the restaurant has a Japanese-style atmosphere and the warmth of wood is appealing. The large raccoon dog figurine at the entrance is a landmark.
