Bel Ameer Kyoto Villa
Bel-Amer Kyoto Villa is a chocolate specialty store located almost halfway between Karasuma-Oike subway station and Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae station.
The exterior of the renovated machiya (townhouse) and the bright red noren (curtain) with the name of the restaurant on it are impressive.
The shop sells a variety of chocolate treats, including tarte chocolat, stick chocolat, and terrine.
For those traveling to Kyoto, we recommend the "Mizuho no Shizuku" chocolate, which is made with Japanese ingredients.
There are more than 10 flavors, including sake, tea, honey, and fruit, and it is possible to have an assortment of your own favorites.
The colors and designs of the chocolate are also changed to match the flavors, making this a product that can be enjoyed with the eyes and tasted with the tongue.
On the second floor of the store, there is also a "Chocolat Bar" where you can enjoy a meal.
In addition to sweets such as fondant chocolates, millefeuille parfaits, and other sweets, the restaurant also offers dishes such as curry and spaghetti.
A luxurious three-tier afternoon tea set is also available, making it a great place to visit for lunch or a short break.

■Mar Blanche Kakaa 365 Gion
The Mar Blanche Kakaa 365 Gion store is located near Yasaka Shrine and Hanamikoji, and specializes in chocolate.
The landmark is the exterior of the massive wooden machiya townhouse and the white curtain with the logo of the restaurant's name.
In addition to products from Mar Blanche, which operates the store, the store sells chocolates that are exclusive to the Kaka 365 Gion store.
Recommended chocolates are the store's namesake "Kaka 365" and the chocolate cream puffs, which are available in limited quantities.
Kakaa 365 is made from the precious Criollo variety from Bolivia in South America.
The milky chocolate cream overflows from the crispy chocolate, giving you an indescribably luxurious feeling with just one bite.
Chocolate puff pastry is a thin, fluffy puff pastry filled with a generous amount of chocolate cream.
The trick is to take a small bite at first to prevent the cream from overflowing.
The lineup also includes chocolate monaka and madeleines, which are easy to take home as souvenirs.
