The first academy was opened in Fushimi, and was moved to its current location in 1667.

Eikando is a popular sightseeing spot in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto.
It was built by Shashao, a disciple of Kukai.
Its official name is "Zenrin-ji Temple," and it is famous for its autumn foliage.
The best time to visit is from mid to late November, when about 3,000 maple trees cover the pond garden and the pagoda, creating a fantastic sight.
Eikando has a red seal book whose entire surface is covered with colorful autumn leaves, and the contrast of the overlapping leaves is fascinating, so be sure to check it out when you visit.

The autumn leaves were just beautiful. There was also Nanzenji Temple nearby, and we were able to do some sightseeing here and there.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple is registered as a World Heritage Site of cultural assets of the ancient capital of Kyoto.
The temple grounds cover 130,000 square meters, and on the grounds you can see the changing of the seasons and Buddhist images such as the main deity, the eleven-faced thousand-armed Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.
The autumn foliage is at its best from late November, and the sight of the Kyoto-like townscape, Kiyomizu Temple, and the autumn leaves is absolutely beautiful.
Also, you can enjoy Kiyomizu-dera Temple in different expressions in each of the four seasons, so please enjoy the various atmospheres of the temple.

This was my first visit. The grounds are very large and the view from the top was amazing. The view was breathtaking and I will come back again.
I visited this time in summer and was very much healed by the fresh greenery. Next time, I will visit during the season of autumn leaves.
Kiyomizu-dera Temple is famous for its Tainai Tour and other attractions, but the autumn foliage is already more beautiful than you can imagine.

5. "Kitano Tenmangu Shrine

I visited in November when the leaves begin to change color, and the Momiji-en garden was truly spectacular.
The leaves were beautifully colored in red, yellow, and red. Many students on school excursion also came and the place was crowded.
It takes about 7 minutes to walk from Kinkakuji Temple (Rokuonji Temple). We went sightseeing slowly, and the autumn scenery was wonderful.
