1. Foggy terrace

Kameoka City is known for its "fog.
Fog often occurs in the Kameoka Basin in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, during the winter months, and depending on the time of year, it can spread from morning until just before noon.
From late fall to early spring, a deep fog called "Tambagiri" occurs, and you may be enveloped in mist as if you have landed in a different world.
The "Foggy Terrace," a hole-in-the-wall spot created in 2018, is popular for looking at such fog from the top of the mountain, which looks like a sea of clouds.
You can see fantastic foggy scenery including sea of clouds during the day, and wonderful views at night as well.

2. Hieizan Driveway

Hieizan Driveway is an 8-km toll section road that connects the Tanoya Gate to the East Pagoda of Enryakuji Temple and Mt.
If you ask people in neighboring Shiga Prefecture, "What do you think of the night view? they always come up with Hieizan Driveway as a candidate.
Hieizan Driveway, which opened in 1958, is the only one in Shiga Prefecture selected as one of the 100 best night views. During the daytime, you can also visit the historic World Heritage Site Enryakuji Temple and the Garden Museum Hiei at the summit of Mount Hiei.

3. Mt. Mantoro Observatory

Mt. Mantoro-yama Observatory was originally secretly popular as a secluded spot, but has recently become famous since the park was developed and registered as one of Kyoto's scenic assets.
Mt. Mantoro Observatory is 300 m above sea level at the top of the mountain, offering a very wide area for night views, not only of Kyoto City centering on Ide-machi, but also of Osaka and Nara.

Yamashiro Ohashi Bridge with its red bridge, Fushimi-Momoyama Castle, and the Kyotanabe area are also visible.
The name Mantoro comes from the torchlight procession that was held as part of the rain begging ritual, and there is no mountain named Mt.
You will also be able to see Kyoto Tower and the cityscape of Kyoto, and enjoy the "sights and sounds" of cars and trains running along the embankment.

4. Kyoto Tower Observation Deck

Shogun's Mound Seiryuden was called Shogun's Mound because a clay statue of a shogun, armed with a bow, arrow, and sword, was buried in the mound.
