2. Popular dumpling stores in Kyoto: Jyubundo

Jubundo is located in Higashiyama-ku.
Jubundo got its name from the fact that the dumplings sold at the sweet shop during the reign of the Edo period shogun Tsunayoshi Tokugawa, whose name was derived from the ten coins of the dumplings.
The bell-shaped dumplings are made to look like kagura bells, and each dumpling is carefully crafted with the wish that happiness will fall in a bell-like pattern.

Ancient Imo Honpo is a Japanese-style sweets specialty store located in Arashiyama, Kyoto.

Miyoshiya is a specialty store of Mitarashi dumplings that is open for only a few hours at night in Gion.
