Gospel" has an impressive green exterior with a pointy roof and tangled ivy.
This cozy Western-style building is located about a 5-minute walk from Ginkakuji Temple.
The architectural firm founded by W.M. Vories, an American-born architect who came to Japan in 1905 and later became a naturalized Japanese citizen, was involved in the construction of the building.
The second floor, originally used as a living room, is now a café space, filled with antique goods and furniture from the 1920s, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Every time a cake is baked or a cup of coffee is brewed, the delicious smell fills the air and makes you want to stay longer.
The menu consists mainly of sweets such as scones and cakes. The scones, served with refreshing sour cream or sweet and sour jam, are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making them a regular favorite.
Enjoy a luxurious moment in the restaurant with jazz and classical music playing.
